The Rise of Pucci
This brand has swept the globe into obsession, but is Pucci just a moment or is it here to stay?
This summer, an old brand has seen a resurgence in popularity. Pucci has swept through the world because of its funky patterns and bright colors. You can catch it on the beach clubs of Saint Tropez on all the most fashionable people, as they order glasses of champagne and lounge on their yachts.
Although Pucci is trending now, the Italian brand has been around since the late 1940s. Emilio Pucci opened his first store in Capri and stood out at the time for his free-flowing designs, which embodied the jet-set culture that had taken over postwar Europe, while contrasting the more restrictive styles of the time. Over the years, Pucci has dressed fashion icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy, and Sophia Loren.

Pucci has recently soared in the trend charts, and according to Google trends, over the last year, the popularity of Pucci grew on average by 133.33%, with its largest spike in popularity around mid-March of 2025. Similarly, according to Pinterest trends, the popularity of the search term Pucci grew on average of 189.66%, with its peak in popularity around mid-April, but still remaining steadily high in searches since. These spikes in popularity happened around the time of the Pucci Spring/Summer 2025 collection’s release in early April.
Google Trends
63% of the people searching Pucci on Pinterest are between the ages of 18-24, showing that Pucci has spread most throughout the younger generations. This could be because of the rise of social media and TikTok, and brands’ use of it. Whether an influencer appears in their clothing by a sponsored post, or just of their own accord, the brand will start to gain more traction because of its exposure and the lifestyles that these posts are selling. This is especially prevalent with influencers such as Chloe Lecareux and Natasha Aris, who pose in Pucci while showcasing the lifestyles that everyone wants. People want to attain these lifestyles, and what better way than through dressing like the influencers they love.

Pucci’s variety makes them stand out, with the brand offering a wide variety of clothing, from dresses to bikinis, and all of them are unique. Their patterns are what distinguish them from the rest, but the colors, from their vibrant pinks to their calming blues, make them appeal to the masses.
The summer of Pucci is just getting started, so will you invest in the trends or stand on the sideline watching as the Pucci craze sweeps the globe?
