5 Ways to Get Your Closet Warm-Weather-Ready
As the weather starts to warm up and the afternoons ease their way into the summer season, the layers we wear change too. It's time to ditch those old hats and winter coats to brighten up your wardrobe with these fresh seasonal looks for the new year. We are here to tell you the ins and outs of summer attire to help you bloom into the upcoming trends.
The key when it comes to transitional clothing is the silhouette. You need to be prepared for the change in temperature as it goes through a multitude of ranges each day. It can very easily be 50 degrees in the morning and be 80 degrees by noon. That’s why we are focusing on loose, flowy clothing items, such as an oversized button-up or a cute midi skirt. With these, a pastel color palette has returned. Most seen are light blues, yellows, and pinks, with the blending of a neutral accent of tan or off-white. A simple, solid color can do a world of wonders, but when paired with a patterned garment, you’ve got the perfect spring-to-summer outfit.
This season, we aren’t layering for warmth anymore; it's all about style. Pairing a cute long-sleeve with a T-shirt is coming back into style and is an easy way to elevate your outfit. You can choose to combine a patterned undershirt or go down the route of a solid color combo. However you choose to layer it is perfect for this new weather.
Capris are coming back in style. A throwback to the summer look of the 2000s, these ¾ length pants have come back swinging. Wearing a lighter color pair of capris, like tan or white, has become a staple in the transitional wardrobe. Pants like these can give your outfit a fresh look, especially when paired with some of the other attire on our list.
Instead of wearing a bulky sweater like in the wintertime, we are switching to a lighter, more breathable knitwear. Pairing a bright knit piece, whether that be a sweater or cardigan, with a pair of shorts or a denim piece will give your outfits an elegant look. Some people have been favoring tying the sweater around the waist instead. All in all, the addition of knitwear to your outfit is sure to save you from the chilly mornings and give you an elevated look the whole day
You cannot go wrong with denim, and that's why it made it onto the list. You can pair any number of pieces with denim, and it will still look amazing. This season, we are focusing on a nice pair of jeans to go with our flowy summer tops. Since the theme is going back to basics, even just wearing a plain tank top with your favorite pair of jeans is the look.
You don’t need to go out and get a whole new wardrobe to follow the trends this season. We are all for wearing the clothes you already have, and using this list to give them a fresh new look. No matter what you wear, you are sure to rock this season.
