Coupled with the fact that it's easily customizable, it's no wonder it's still all the rage and present on the runway to date. All one needs is the crochet pattern, and off they go creating their work of art.
I don't know about you, but that's strike three in my books. Imma go get my yarn and hook from the store (truth be told, this author doesn't know how to crochet… yet!)

In a single week in August, the trend in crochet fashion jumped from 63 to 84 on Google Trends. That's a 33% increase!
The trend is here to stay, but so are we!

Start with a chain:
Most patterns begin with a foundation chain, which is a series of connected chain stitches (the slip knot).
Perform the stitch:
For each stitch, follow these steps:
Insert your hook into the designated stitch or space.
Yarn over.
Pull the yarn through the stitch, creating a new loop on your hook.
Yarn over again.
Pull through the required number of loops on your hook to complete the stitch.
