Fashion at the US Open
While the USO Open is predominantly tennis focused, the event serves as a sort of fashion show as well, whether that’s the looks the players come out in or the outfits of viewers. It can serve as a point of contention compared to the classic tennis looks.
While the classic uniform often seems quite regimented, many of the players find a way to showcase their personal style. And this of course drastically draws onlookers into the sport of tennis (even those who might usually be uninterested!)
They prove to all of us it’s not just a tennis competition, it’s a runway.
Namoni Osaka very often brings interesting looks onto the court, mirroring some of Serena Williams outfits. She is known to be a sort of trailblazer when it comes to fashion on the court, most notably with her neon green look from the 2024 U.S Open. She effectively proves that her expressing her femininity does not make her less of a powerful athlete. She stepped out in a very avant garde look, runway ready.
