New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025
New York Fashion Week is rapidly approaching, which will kick off the Big Four. The Big Four includes New York, London, Milan, and Paris, where brands will show off their Spring/Summer 2026 Collection. The shows stretch from the middle of September to early October. New York Fashion Week is the first out of the four, and will run from September 11 to the 16th.
The week features over 60 shows, with Michael Kors opening the runway shows and the final show is marked as “to be announced” at 8 pm on the 16th. Off-White is back after making their NYFW debut last year, which marked their first official runway show in the United States. Another anticipated show is Calvin Klein, who returned to NYFW this February after an almost seven-year hiatus. Alexander Wang will also return to the official schedule after taking a break from NYFW after 2023. A notable absence on the list is Carolina Herrera, which will be displaying their SS26 collection in Madrid, the first time the brand has not held a main collection runway show at NYFW.

New York Fashion Week is built around American brands. Originally founded by publicist Eleanor Lambert in 1943, “Press Week,” as it was known then, was created to showcase American fashion when French fashion was not available during World War II. Throughout the years it grew into a global event and was rebranded as New York Fashion Week in 2015. Some American brands that are on the schedule this year are Michael Kors, Tory Burch, and Todd Snyder. Brandon Maxwell will also be holding a runway show off the official NYFW schedule on September 9th to mark the 10th anniversary of the brand.
Many new brands were chosen for the official schedule, including SC103, Amir Taghi, and Dwarmis. One of our highly anticipated newcomers is Rùadh, founded by Scottish Jac Cameron who later moved to New York, is one of them. Another is Maris McManus, a womenswear brand that focuses on sustainable practices.
