What is SPFW?
São Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW) is more than a runway event—it's a platform for artistic expression and social dialogue. Created in 1996, SPFW has become a global reference for fashion that values identity, inclusivity, and sustainability. Twice a year, it turns São Paulo into the epicenter of fashion in Brazil and Latin America.
The Vibe of SPFW N59
SPFW N59 stood out not only for its bold collections but also for its commitment to represent the real, contemporary Brazil. The shows took place in iconic locations like Komplexo Tempo and Iguatemi São Paulo, mixing architecture, history, and fashion.
Designers explored powerful themes such as ancestry, gender identity, environmental responsibility, and urban culture. From glamorous evening wear to street-style pieces, every collection told a story—and often a deeply personal one.
More Than Fashion
SPFW N59 also sparked discussions on race, gender, and sustainability in the industry. Panels and talks emphasized the importance of building an ethical, inclusive fashion system—one that values local production, fair labor, and environmental consciousness.
The audience wasn't just there to watch. Influencers, students, journalists, and fashion lovers interacted, took notes, posted on social media, and brought the event to life with their energy. In the digital age, SPFW is as much on the runway as it is on your Instagram feed.

If you don’t know about it, you definitely should
One of the standout moments of SPFW N59 was the show by Misci, the brand founded by Airon Martin that continues to redefine what it means to be genuinely Brazilian in fashion. Misci’s latest collection blended contemporary tailoring with artisanal references, creating a unique fusion of urban cool and cultural heritage.
At the Bienal do Ibirapuera, designer Airon Martin presented Misci’s Summer 2025 collection, titled “Tenda Tripa”—a visceral, heartfelt tribute to the rural heart of Brazil. More than just fashion, the collection was a journey into memory, emotion, and national identity, described by the designer as a way to "reach into the entrails of Brazil."
A Landscape of Color
Earthy browns, dusty greens, and baby blues painted a palette inspired by the countryside at dawn and dusk.
Western-style shirts, saddle-like straps, and buckles paid homage to Brazil’s cowboy heritage, reimagined with a contemporary edge.
Tailoring with a Soul
Signature asymmetry gave structure and softness to pieces that felt both grounded and elevated.
In menswear, wide-leg pants, deconstructed jackets, and bold crochet details challenged traditional notions of rural masculinity.
Proudly Made in Brazil
Innovative materials like latex derived from rubber trees and food-grade compounds grounded the collection in sustainable, local sourcing.
Accessories made from buriti straw and a beachwear collaboration with Lenny Niemeyer reinforced the brand’s connection to Brazilian craftsmanship.

Culture on the Catwalk
Ivete Sangalo, Brazilian music icon and cultural symbol, closed the show, transforming the runway into a celebration of identity and pride.
Internationally, Misci continues to grow—already exporting 20% of its production and appearing on global icons like Oprah Winfrey with its now-signature bags.
Why It Matters
Brazilian fashion is not just about trends—it's about telling stories, shaping identities, and empowering communities. SPFW N59 reminded us that fashion can be a political act, a cultural celebration, and a way of imagining new futures.
Whether you’re a fashion enthusiast or just curious about what’s happening in the creative world, SPFW is an event worth watching. It's Brazil showing itself to the world—authentic, bold, and beautifully diverse.
